This Café is on first Monday of every month (including Bank Holidays)at the parish church hall in Stockton (TS18 1SP) from 12 till 2:15.
It provides a safe non judgemental meeting place for carers, people with dementia, family and friends. Light refreshments available. An advice and support worker is on hand too at every meeting.

Dementia Café Thornaby
This Café is run with Stockton Library Services and funded by the boundary 500, on Second Friday of every month in Thornaby Library (TS17 9EW) from 2 till 3:30.
It provides a safe non judgmental meeting place for carers, people with dementia, family and friends. Light refreshments available. An advice and support worker is on hand too at every meeting.

This Café is on first Saturday of every month at Yarm Methodist Church (TS15 9AJ) from 10am till midday.
It provides a safe non judgemental meeting place for carers, people with dementia, family and friends. Light refreshments available. An advice and support worker is on hand too at every meeting.

For carers only, this group is a peer support group lead by a Dementia Link officer. It gives carers a safe place to off load, chat relax and share with other carers.
From time to time other dates are added for people giving relevant talks / presentations.

This group meets first Tuesday of the month at The Subway Store. next to Anson's Farm pub (TS17 9LN) 6:30 - 8:00pm

Allowing people with Dementia and carers time to relax maintain skills, even learn new ones, in a relaxed atmosphere.
It is also a good opportunity to socialise and make new friends

Coronation Lunch Club
Second Thursday of the month 12:45 - 3:00 at the Coronation pub on Acklam Road, Middlesbrough.
There is a 3 course menu on offer for £5.95 per person, Tea and Coffee are free.

Dementia Link Service
Offers support in your own home or a meeting place of your choice. We help with the following - how to get a diagnosis, understanding the diagnosis, filling in benefit forms, explain the condition to family and friends, dealing with the future needs and planning, emotional support and education, managing challenging behaviour

Social Events
Dementia is not a life sentence you can still have a laugh, a drink, meals out, days out, a few nights away. Even people in advanced stages can still have fun.
We organise many social outings though out the year including mini breaks of 2 or 3 nights away

Befriending
This is for People with Dementia we offer a minimum of 1 4 hour visit each week, The befriend-er may take the client out or stay in and carry out activities to keep the client entertained while the carer gets some rest.
This service is currently full and a waiting list operates

Spiritual support
Some people with dementia, may still wish to attend religious services, or start going again, we can offer support to the carer in accompanying them with the person with dementia to a service of their choice.
Any denomination is OK, but you may wish to check with the religious leader they are happy for someone from that religion is able to attend

Online Chat Group
This is a closed group for carers and people with dementia. You can use it to ask questions, get support from other carers, or just have a laugh and a chat too.

Carer Contact
Carers often feel very isolated, and lacking in "Adult conversation - news, family matters.....) we offer a bespoke service to carers, and one or two people with dementia, where we ring them, to see how they are getting on or just have a chat.
This can help make them feel still part of the outside world, and for some its a life saver.
